Venkatesh is a social entrepreneur and anti-corruption activist who has been advocating for classical liberalism in India for over 15 years. He is the founder and president of the Swatantrata Center, a Hyderabad-based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting ideas and policies that empower human flourishing. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various international classical liberal and libertarian rganizations, contributing to grassroots activism, politics, and public policy.
Previously, Venkatesh founded India’s Future Foundation, helped launch Students for Liberty in South Asia by establishing a South India chapter, and co-founded Youth for Better India, which has played a significant role in the anti-corruption movement in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. His efforts have earned him national and international recognition, including being named one of the “20 Years- 20 Champions” by the Centre for Civil Society for his contributions to advancing a free society in India. He has also received the "Karmaveer Chakra" award from ICONGO and the United Nations (UN) for his work on anti-corruption reforms in India.
In addition to his activism, Venkatesh works as a software systems architect in Silicon Valley and is deeply passionate about nonprofit management, grassroots activism, community building, and politics to advance classical liberalism and a free society
